As part of equipping the access roads to the Pelješac bridge, we installed a radio system and a sound system for the Debeli Brijeg, Polakovica and Supava tunnels. The central stations are installed in the equipment room of CKP Zaradeže, on the roof of which the antenna system is also installed.
In the Debeli Brijeg tunnel, there are two amplifier substations for the radio system and the sound system. And in the Polakovica and Supava tunnels there are two amplifier substations for the radio system and the sound system. A radiating cable was laid along the main and service pipes and speakers were installed. After measurement and commissioning, user education was carried out for the operation and maintenance of the system.
Centersystems manufactured by Strabag ISS was selected for the radio system, and Honeywell Variodyn D1 for the sound system. The radio system enables two public FM radio programs (HR-1 and HR-2) in the tunnel with the possibility of entering the radio program (so-called break-in) and a digital VHF channel for the maintenance service. Preparation for connecting to the TETRA system that is used by emergency services is planned and prepared.
The public address system makes it possible to provide necessary information or instructions to tunnel users who have stopped in the tunnel in the event of an incident.
