The purpose of this project is the construction of a fixed broadband network of the next generation (NGA) in the area of the City of Vodice. The network will be based on multiple routes where fiber optic cables will be laid.
According to the Spatial Development Plan of the City of Vodice, underground installation of electronic communication cables within the shared infrastructure corridor of the roadway is explicitly required. Therefore, the construction of the next-generation broadband network is aligned with the cable ducting system planned under the Vodice-Tribunj-Srima sewage system project.
The Vodice-Tribunj-Srima sewage system project includes the construction of a sewage network and the laying of water supply pipelines in the eastern part of the Vodice and Srima settlements (in the Vodice cadastral municipality and Zaton-Srima cadastral municipality). Alongside the construction of sewage pipelines, the same project foresees the laying of cable ducting in a 2x PEHDØ50 configuration.
The project encompassed planning analysis, collecting all addresses within the scope of the project, analyzing the fiber optic needs of each address for a five-year projection, dividing the coverage area into distribution nodes based on the density of population in each specific area, and considering the configuration of the settlements.
The total length of the distribution network within the coverage area is 80 km. Microduct structures will be utilized for the distribution of the Point-to-Point (P2P) Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network.
The project covers approximately 5,000 addresses and serves over 9,000 users through a total of 6 distribution nodes.
