As part of the implementation of the project “Design and Construction of NGN Aggregation Infrastructure”, commissioned by Odašiljači i veze d.o.o., we are preparing the design documentation for the Transition Node Zadar on behalf of the main contractor Strabag d.d.

The scope of the project covers the areas of Zadar County and Lika-Senj County, and includes both land and underwater routes to the islands.

The Transition Node Zadar (PČ Zadar) includes the following parameters for positioning the NGN infrastructure:

  • 1 N0 node (Zadar)
  • 34 N1 nodes
  • 69 N2_3 nodes
  • a total route length of approx. 720,000 m, of which:
    • approx. 300,000 m new routes
    •  approx. 185,000 m of existing routes belonging to state-owned companies
    • o approx. 235,000 m of other existing routes

The project is co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds, and its purpose is the construction of a national aggregation backhaul broadband infrastructure of the Next Generation Network (NGN) and the connection of targeted public users/public authorities to a modern electronic communications infrastructure of the next generation that supports symmetric access speeds above 100 Mbit/s.

The project completion is planned for mid-2028.
