In January 2015, the procurement and installation of constant current regulators for the apron lighting system at Brač Airport was successfully carried out.

All existing constant current regulators were replaced with new ones while maintaining the existing concept of eight serial current circuits. Each regulator allows the addition of modules for insulation resistance measurement, detection of burned-out lamps, and other modules for future modernization purposes.

In addition to the regulator replacements, the existing control unit, which managed the operation of the entire airport’s lighting signaling system, was also replaced.

The equipment supplier for the project was Transcon electronic systems from the Czech Republic.

The work also involved connecting to the low-voltage distribution board with fuses and connecting the direction selectors. The installation of the equipment was carried out simultaneously with the regular air and internal road traffic, without causing any disruptions.
